Tsiknopempti - The smoked Thursday custom

Tsiknopempti is the Thursday during Carnival period which marks the beginning of the last weekend that we can "legally" eat meat before the Easter 40 day Lent. Because of this, everyone rushes to prepare and enjoy their favorite meat dishes, creating a cloud of smoke where it is being cooked. It's a popular day for going out to eat and enjoying as many different meat as possible.

Yesterday, on tsiknopempti we all got dressed up in funny costumes, we barbecued and played nice funny games and we danced.
