The Olympic
torch is used when the Olympics begins. It has been carried though many
countries and has now come to Ireland. The Olympic torch was brought to Ireland today, the 6th of
June and was received by Irish Olympic medal winners Wayne
McCullough and Michael Carruth. The torch was brought to Howth
in Dublin and
was received by our President, Michael D. Higgins. It was brought around Dublin in a relay by many different people. These included Kilkenny hurler Henry
Shefflin, Eurovision stars Jedward, former soccer player Paul McGrath and many
others. There are now only a few weeks until the Olympics begins. Here is
a picture of the torch. (News by Nessa

This is a very good news. How are you celebrating it at school?
In our school we are going to create a mini- olimpics, to show the children some of the most typical olimpic games.
